At the end of last season, Alexis Sánchez was approached by an Arsenal team-mate who wanted to know what was happening with the striker’s new contract. 12th Fan Womens Jersey “Are you going to stay with us next season?” he asked. Sánchez barely broke stride and completely blanked him.
The story will doubtless raise a few smiles among journalists, who are well used to getting that sort of treatment from players post-match. But from one team-mate to another?
Sánchez is a man who gives little away and it is said his agent, Fernando Felicevich, who does all the talking. http://www.seahawksofficialsproshop.com/...bin-Jersey The forward can sometimes be detached or prickly and when the players said their goodbyes for the summer no one in the dressing room could say with any certainty that they would line up alongside Sánchez again.
The aforementioned episode suggested it did not look good and Arsenal are confronted by a situation that is bleak and familiar. Sánchez, who has one year to run on his contract, wants out and although Arsène Wenger will not admit so in public, he knows it in private.
In a rare interview on 30 June, Sánchez said he had made up his mind about where he would play next season but he had to keep it to himself. http://www.seahawksofficialsproshop.com/...own-Jersey “It’s clear but I can’t tell you anything,” he said before Chile’s appearance in the Confederations Cup final against Germany. It seemed significant he could not say whether it would be at Arsenal. He has given no indication at any stage that he wants to stay at the club.
The 28-year-old is understood to have asked for £400,000 a week – or £20.8m a year – to re-sign and he and Felicevich must know Arsenal will not pay that. An unrealistic wage demand goes hand in glove with the exit strategy. Arsenal, meanwhile, are strongly pursuing Monaco’s left-sided forward, Thomas Lemar.
Sánchez’s rider to remain at the club might not be unrealistic in the broader market context. Authentic Adam Oates Womens Jersey In January, he would be allowed to agree pre-contract terms at an overseas club for a free-agent move in the summer and in that scenario, he could expect to receive the amount – or something similar – that the club would save in transfer fees as a signing-on bonus or even built into his salary. Given he could command a fee of about £50m, it is fair to assume the figure would not be insignificant.
It has been reported Sánchez has the offer of £400,000 a week from an unnamed Chinese club and Felicevich has used it as leverage in discussions with Arsenal. It has also become clear he has felt empowered to ask for the money his client would stand to receive as a free agent.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has helped to set the bar in this area. The striker joined Manchester United on a Bosman transfer last summer and leaked details of his contract showed he agreed to be paid a basic salary of €420,000 (about £367,000) per week.
Bayern Munich have balked at the figures involved for Sánchez but Paris Saint-Germain are still in play, even if it might be smarter for them to wait until January – at least for financial reasons. Sánchez, though, has his mind made up and it is set on Manchester City, where he would be reunited with Pep Guardiola, the manager who took him from his first European club, Udinese, to Barcelona in 2011.
Arsenal are not convinced Guardiola wants him, that City’s interest is concrete. They have noted how Guardiola started Sánchez in only 20 of the 38 La Liga matches during their one season together at Barcelona, although Sánchez did suffer from various fitness problems.
But being forced to sell their star player to a Premier League rival – as they did with Robin van Persie to Manchester United in 2012 after he had refused to extend a contract that had one year to run – is the nightmare scenario and they are resolved to do anything other than that.
It adds up to a standoff, with the ace in Sánchez’s hand being the refusal to sign another contract. http://www.officialbruinsprostore.com/br...e-c-8.html In that case, Arsenal could still get another season out of him and they could tell themselves they would be saving the difference between his £130,000-a-week wage and the one for which they would have him re-sign. They have offered him £275,000 a week, which represents an annual increase of £6.5m. Yet the sum would be dwarfed by what Arsenal could receive as a transfer fee this summer.

The company that owns Leicester City and funded the club’s rise to become 2016 Premier League champions has been accused of multimillion-pound corruption in the operation of its business in Thailand. King Power, Authentic Cliff Pennington Youth Jersey owned and run by the Leicester chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, and his son Aiyawatt, is alleged to have corruptly short-changed the Thai government of its agreed share from the company’s lucrative duty free franchise at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport.

King Power International, which owns Leicester, is accused of criminally failing to pay the Thai state 14bn baht (£327m) from the operation of the airport franchise, whose original grant in 2006 required 15% of the income to be paid to the government. The lawsuit – a copy of which was seen by the Guardian – was filed by Charnchai Issarasenarak, deputy chairman of a government anti-corruption subcommittee. He alleges that King Power colluded with airport employees to pay the government only a 3% slice of the duty free takings.
King Power bought Leicester City for a reported £39m in 2010, when the club were in the Championship, and then loaned the club more than £100m on players, wages and bankrolling losses, which were written off after the club won promotion to the Premier League in 2014.
Explaining the legal action to reporters in Thailand, Charnchai said: “We ask the court to accept this lawsuit as a criminal lawsuit, http://www.officialangelsproshop.com/Cj_Wilson_Jersey and use the law to punish those who commit wrongdoings. We also ask the court to consider seizing all the 14.29bn baht from them to the state. Nobody should ever gain [anything] from this said amount ... This case causes substantial damages to the state and is a very severe case.”
Two other King Power group companies owned and run by the Srivaddhanaprabha family have also been accused of corruption in the legal action, along with a senior King Power executive. Fourteen officials working for Airports of Thailand have also been named in the action. The lawsuit alleges corrupt misconduct and a failure to act with honesty and integrity.
Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha established King Power in 1989 with one small shop in Bangkok, then attained major wealth in 2006 when his company was granted the exclusive franchise for duty free sales at Suvarnabhumi airport, Authentic Clinton Portis Youth Jersey said to be the 12th busiest in the world. At the time the prime minister of Thailand was Thaksin Shinawatra, who was later ousted in a military coup. The successors and bitter rivals to Shinawatra, who owned Manchester City from July 2007 to September 2008, remain in charge of the country.
The lawsuit alleges that the requirement on King Power to pay 15% of the revenues to the government was agreed when the contract was signed in 2006. The current prime minister of Thailand, General Prayuth Chan-ocha, has been named by Charnchai as a witness in the case, along with 32 other people; 50 documents have been submitted in support.
Charnchai has said that he is preparing a further four cases against King Power, which he expects to file in two months. A court decision on whether to accept the first case is expected on 25 July, according to reports.
“Filing a lawsuit against someone isn’t fun,” Charnchai said, “because they can counter-sue us, but we have checked accuracy and are ready to be counter-sued. We don’t do this based on a personal [issue], but it is about the nation.”
Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, the Leicester vice-chairman and chief executive of the King Power group, was reported in the Bangkok Post to have denied that the company had breached any laws over the 11 years since it was granted the duty free franchise at the airport. http://www.footballredskinsprostore.com/...rsey_Cheap Asked by the Guardian via Leicester City whether he would confirm the details of the case and respond to the allegations, the club replied to say that Aiyawatt had declined to comment.
The Airports of Thailand president, Nitinai Sirisamatthakarn, was reported by the Bangkok Post to have denied the allegations, saying that King Power had adhered to its contract and paid the correct government fees according to the space occupied at the airport.
It is not clear what impact the case could have on Leicester City if it proceeds and succeeds and King Power become liable to pay huge amounts of money to the government. http://www.footballredskinsprostore.com/...rsey_Cheap Premier League rules prohibit people from owning more than 30% or being a director of a club if they have been convicted of a criminal offence of dishonesty, but neither Vichai, Aiyawatt nor any other Thai director of Leicester has been charged personally.

Of all the tributes to Daniel Levy and his iron-fist-in-the-iron-glove negotiating style Sir Alex Ferguson’s is surely the most memorable. Dealing with the Tottenham Hotspur chairman, Ferguson recalled, Bobby Clarke Womens Jersey “was more painful than my hip replacement”. It should be noted, too, that Ferguson got what he wanted from Levy. Despite all the agonies he was able to take the striker Dimitar Berbatov from Tottenham to Manchester United in 2008.

Many people in the game do not get what they want from Levy. The very mention of his name can have agents and players letting out mournful signs before they launch into stories about how they thought they had a deal only for Levy to make an eleventh-hour revision to his demands.
Levy has been driving football folk to distraction since 2001 and that has included plenty of Tottenham personnel. He is a friendly, clubbable kind of guy, whom Mauricio Pochettino, the Tottenham manager, has described as “shy, sensitive and funny”. But when Levy sits down to negotiate, http://www.officialflyersteamonline.com/...don_Jersey even with people he likes, it is as if he puts on the blinkers. Relationships count for nothing. His side of the deal is all that matters.
There is an old line on Levy that says he goes to work during a transfer window only on deadline day, such is his fondness for brinkmanship and last-minute business. It is tongue-in-cheek. Levy is confronted by a ceaseless barrage of issues and right now the biggest one involves keeping Pochettino’s team together. It is a challenge he will confront with relish.
Tottenham have agreed to sell the right-back Kyle Walker to Manchester City for £50m – plus £3m in add-ons – but in terms of incoming deals they have been quiet this summer and it has been for a simple reason. Jason Kidd Authentic Jersey Pochettino’s best XI have hit such heights over the past two seasons and polished their reputations to such an extent that the manager cannot see anyone on the market at an affordable price who would represent an upgrade.
The key word is ‘affordable’. Levy’s basic weekly wage ceiling is set at £100,000 and he also has the new stadium build to finance, the cost of which has risen to £800m. Show Pochettino an improvement, for example, on Mousa Dembélé or Dele Alli who earns less than £100,000 a week and would not break the bank in terms of the fee and he would take him. The reality is that the player is not out there.
Pochettino wants to add depth to his squad and it is clear that he needs to do so, particularly when the club’s desire to move on Moussa Sissoko and, possibly, Georges-Kévin Nkoudou is taken into account. Érik Lamela’s fitness is another issue. The winger, who has not played since last October because of a hip complaint, is doing rehabilitation work and he will miss the opening weeks of the season at least.
There was a time in the not too distant past when the club’s fans would be clamouring for action in terms of transfers and fretting about a lack of activity. http://www.mavericksteamonline.com/Jose_...rea_Jersey It is not the case these days and that speaks volumes for the team which has been built for them, not to mention the work of Pochettino. Other managers and sets of supporters have felt the frustration.
Levy’s trick has been to enjoy elite-level performances from his players over a sustained period on less than elite-level wages. Harry Kane, for example, has won the Premier League’s Golden Boot for the past two seasons and, as such, he can lay claim to being the best striker in England. He is at the top of the Tottenham pay scale but it is stating the obvious to say that he could earn significantly more elsewhere. So could all of the club’s big names.

Romelu Lukaku faces a challenge to adjust to the demands of playing for Manchester United, according to the club’s new captain, Michael Carrick.

Carrick moved to Old Trafford from Tottenham Hotspur in 2006 and is now the club’s longest-serving player following Wayne Rooney’s departure to Everton. Lukaku, meanwhile, Anthony Sherman Womens Jersey played his first game for United in a 5-2 win against LA Galaxy in Carson City on Saturday, the opening game of a five-match pre-season tour.
Lukaku, who joined from Everton for £75m, failed to score but appeared to settle instantly – though Carrick was quick to emphasise the pressure that comes with playing for the 20-times English champions.
“The jump is massive,” Carrick said. “I found that myself coming from Tottenham. It’s a massive jump. You can’t really explain to people until they’ve gone through it. I’m sure he’ll find the same. http://www.chiefsofficialsauthentic.com/...KEY-JERSEY But having Premier League experience is a massive bonus. He’ll know how things work week to week. It’s just about dealing with the pressure.
“It’s early days. It’s one week’s training and 45 minutes against Galaxy so you can’t come to any conclusions. We know what he is all about, there are no surprises. We all know exactly what he brings and that is why he is here. He is not going to change his game because he has come here. He does what he does best and obviously he’s been brought here to score goals. I am pretty certain he will do that this season.”
Lukaku has 85 Premier League goals since 2012, second only to Sergio Agüero, and is the main replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who scored 28 goals for United last season.
Carrick was reluctant to draw parallels between the two players. “Ibra was terrific for us but Rom is his own man. Authentic Austin Romine Womens Jersey When I came it was Roy Keane who came up [in comparison] but I’m my own man. Whoever comes in, you’re always your own man. I don’t want to compare them at all because it’s not fair to do that.
“He’ll be judged like anyone else: on what he does through the season and I’m sure he’s ready for that. The scrutiny will go up a level from what he’s used to. I’m sure he’s prepared for that and I’m sure he will do well.”
Carrick is adamant United have to challenge for the league title next term. “We’ve got to feel that. It’s up to the manager whether more players come in or whether they don’t. That’s not for us to worry about. That’s got to be the aim. We have to challenge the best and be the best. It has to be that philosophy at this club no matter what happens, http://www.authenticyankeeshop.com/authe...ersey.html this season is no different. We finished last season with a trophy. We’ve got a good feeling going into this one. We’ve got the Super Cup coming up pretty quick, so we’ve got to be focused on that really and then the season ahead.”
The United goalkeeper Sergio Romero has signed a contract extension until 2021. The Argentina international, 30, joined United on a free transfer in 2015 and started May’s Europa League final victory over Ajax ahead of David de Gea.The United squad fly to Utah on Tuesday, where they will play Real Salt Lake.

At about 8pm last Thursday, Nathaniel Chalobah, then still of Chelsea, posted on Instagram a picture of the former Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace defender Fitz Hall. The subject of several weeks of transfer rumour linking him with Swansea, Southampton and Watford, Jarell Martin Youth Jersey perhaps this, finally, was a clue to Chalobah’s next move. Either that, or he just likes Fitz Hall. No words accompanied the picture, though for some reason there were three alarm clocks superimposed upon it.

Within half an hour a group of Watford fans on an internet forum had proved, using the grain of wood in a table, the shade of magnolia on the wall, a tiny section of visible armrest and an old and apparently unrelated club video, that Hall and thus Chalobah himself was at their team’s training ground, a process that was at least as entertaining to watch as the majority of the Hornets’ games last season and certainly involved more creativity. At 11pm, the cat now being some distance from the bag, the player’s transfer was officially confirmed.
The following day Monaco’s Tiemoué Bakayoko posted, again on Instagram, a picture that also turned out to be of another club’s training ground. It required rather less detective work to work out the subtext of this one, given that it featured an actual pitch, http://www.officialgrizzliestore.com/aut...ersey.html Chelsea’s badge (and, indeed, their manager) was visible, and Bakayoko had decorated the image with four large arrows and several repetitions of the word “soon” in bold capitals. In case anyone required further help, the player had previously posted a picture of himself on the Eurostar with an English textbook. His move was announced on Saturday. Both players, as it happens, are central midfielders, the Frenchman arriving at Cobham hours after Chalobah’s departure to take his place in the Chelsea squad, or at least a much more lucrative and high-profile version of it.
There was something telling about the two pictures, which had revealed not only the identity of the players’ next employers but deeper truths about English football itself, and in particular about the one club the two deals had in common.
Both photographs were attempting to do the same job, in the same place. To find the stories they disclosed, one required a bit of effort; the other did all the work itself and then, to make sure everybody had noticed, Andrew Adams Authentic Jersey attached some fireworks and set itself on fire. One was a whisper, the other a wailing klaxon – a klaxon clad in blinking neon and accompanied by a team of Red Arrows jets scribing key words in the sky using multicoloured vapour.
Had two different clubs been involved, one could have been criticised for refusing to do the hard work, for only recognising talent after it has been hyped to the heavens. Yet Chelsea, with six FA Youth Cup wins in the last eight years, boast the best and busiest youth system in England. They had spotted Chalobah as a 10-year-old and nurtured his talent through 12 years, half as many loan spells and 97 England caps at a variety of age groups, culminating last year in him making one start and nine substitute appearances for them in the Premier League. And then they lost him, for an initial £5m, before moving for someone four months older, eight times as expensive and carrying a different passport. Chelsea did the hard work. Then they undid it.
A club should consider a £40m signing not as a source of pride but as evidence of dismal failure. Effective scouting operations should be able to get by without an outsized chequebook. Though Corentin Tolisso and Alexandre Lacazette, whose moves are two of the biggest of this summer so far, had both spent their entire careers at Lyon, http://www.officialgiantsfootballs.com/B...rsey-Cheap the rest of the window’s 10 biggest transfers to date had all changed clubs at least once already. The two biggest sales by English teams, Romelu Lukaku and Michael Keane, had previously been owned and disowned by Chelsea and Manchester United respectively. Logically the aim must be to catch the best young players on the first rungs of the ladder, before they make their names and inflate their values.
But perhaps, sometimes at least, it isn’t. It could be that clubs find global audiences particularly appreciative of the teams most crammed with expensively assembled headline players, and therefore more keen to clothe themselves in their branded leisurewear and consume the products of their official noodle partners. In other words, for elite, globally-renowned football clubs, spending more money leads directly to earning even more money. So Chelsea might have been disappointed to lose a brilliant young midfielder for a pittance, but on the plus side it gives them the chance to buy him back in the future, when he is a bit more famous and a lot more expensive.
Or maybe it’s just a British thing. Many years ago the nation’s finest goldsmiths could have decorated the crown jewels with Manx agate, http://www.officialgiantsfootballs.com/B...rsey-Cheap Cornish amethyst and Blue John from Derbyshire and still their creations would have evoked awe and wonder. Instead, though, we plundered the most splendid gemstones from across the globe, brought them home and swiftly mounted them upon the nearest sceptre. Whether on a football field or a monarch’s head, we are a people that appreciates objects of great beauty and quality – especially if they are extraordinarily valuable and used to be somebody else’s.

Manchester City want to buy Napoli’s Pepe Reina in a transfer which, if successful, would mean the end of Claudio Bravo’s torrid time at the club.

City are understood to have made an initial bid of around £2.5m for the 34-year-old, Anthony DeSclafani Womens Jersey who spent nine years at Liverpool, and has also played for Barcelona, Villlarreal, and Bayern Munich. He would offer Pep Guardiola, the City manager, vast experience.
If Reina does arrive it means Bravo’s troubled City career will end after only a season. It will also pose further questions of the judgment of Guardiola regarding goalkeepers. When taking over as head coach last summer the Catalan decided Joe Hart, the incumbent No1, was not good enough . This led to Bravo’s recruitment and Hart going on a season-long loan to Torino.
The Chilean proved a disastrous choice, making a series of errors that directly led to City dropping crucial points. Earlier in the close season, http://www.authenticcincinnatireds.com/A...all-Jersey Guardiola acknowledged his mistake by buying Ederson from Benfica for £34.69m to be his new first-choice.
Given Reina played more than 250 times in the Premier League for Liverpool, helping the club capture the FA Cup in 2006 and come close to winning the Premier League title three years later, Guardiola may allow him a chance to challenge Ederson for the starting berth. It is believed Napoli will listen to an offer closer to £4.5m for Reina, who joined the Italian club, initially on loan, in 2013.
Hart, meanwhile, is close to a move to West Ham United after taking a medical with the east London club on Monday. The England goalkeeper is set to join on a season-long loan deal.
City arrived in Houston on Monday for the start of their summer tour of America. Alex Gordon Womens Jersey Guardiola’s side face Manchester United on Thursday in a International Champions Cup fixture. Bravo was not with the squad but this is because he is on holiday following Chile’s Confederation Cup campaign.
The Manchester derby takes places at the NRG Stadium and will be the first to be staged overseas. City and United should have played each other in China last summer in a friendly. However the unreliable nature of the pitch at Beijing’s National Stadium led to the game’s cancellation.
Guardiola’s squad for their three-match tour includes Samir Nasri , Eliaquim Mangala and Jason Denayer , http://www.authentickansascityroyals.com...bar-Jersey despite all appearing to have no future at City under the manager. Wilfried Bony , who is in the same category, was left behind, as was Fernando, the Portuguese midfielder.
Kelechi Iheancho, the striker who may leave for Leicester City, did not travel to Houston, either. Leroy Sane and Yaya Touré were also not with the main party but are expected to arrive separately while Bernardo Silva, the £43.6m purchase from Monaco, is on a break, too, following Portugal’s participation in the Confederations Cup.

Antonio Conte has finally put pen to paper on a new contract at Chelsea, whom he steered to the Premier League title in his first year in English football, Adidas Craig Smith Authentic Jersey to ease any immediate concerns over his future, though the Italian has not extended his commitment to the club beyond the next two years.

Chelsea confirmed the deal as the manager and his squad left for Beijing and a three-match pre-season tour of China and Singapore, on Tuesday evening with Conte describing the team’s achievements last year as “something amazing” in the club’s statement. The director, Marina Granovskaia, hailed the 47-year-old’s “incredible success” with the new contract reflecting the board’s “belief that he can continue to deliver results both domestically and as we return to European competition in the Champions League”.
Yet the reality that the deal, first mooted before the FA Cup final in May and believed to be the most lucrative offered in the club’s history at around £9.6m a year, stretches no further than 2019, http://www.authenticnashvillepredators.c...rok-jersey when Conte’s original contract was due to expire, is intriguing. The Italian had been expected to sign an extension to 2021 but has cut a frustrated figure this summer while Chelsea have struggled to reinforce after last year’s title-winning squad and before that return to Europe’s elite club competition.
Manchester United stole a march on them to secure Everton’s Romelu Lukaku, a player Conte had coveted, while interest in the likes of Leonardo Bonucci came to nothing and Alex Sandro has yet to be secured from Juventus. The relationship between manager and board was strained, too, by Conte’s decision to inform Diego Costa, by text message, that he had no future at the club, potentially damaging the club’s bargaining position over his sale in the process. Talks with Atlético Madrid over the striker’s departure remain ongoing.
The board have mobilised over the last fortnight to secure Antonio Rudiger and Tiemoué Bakayoko for significant fees but, with Costa granted permission to miss the trip, Chelsea travelled to China with Michy Batshuayi – a bit-part player last year – as their only senior striker of note. The hope is they will deflect Milan’s interest in Álvaro Morata to secure the Spain forward from Real Madrid ahead of the new campaign, and still manager to prise Sandro from Juve. But, Authentic Cam Fowler Womens Jersey with Nemanja Matic expected to leave and Eden Hazard currently recovering from ankle surgery, the process of strengthening the team is at a fledgling stage with the start of the title defence only 25 days away.
There is still time for Chelsea to make waves in the transfer market and secure the players Conte believes can make them competitive in the Premier League and Champions League next term, but the closed season has been far from plain sailing. The manager has at least been marginally appeased by the club’s decision to sanction the arrivals of two compatriots to his coaching staff, with Paolo Vanoli joining as an assistant head coach and Davide Mazzotta working as an assistant and in player analysis. Steve Holland departed Stamford Bridge in May to join Gareth Southgate’s coaching staff on a full-time basis.
Chelsea will play Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Internazionale – the club whose interest in bringing Conte back to Italy had served to unsettle at times last season – in China and Singapore, with the champions content at least that any fears their head coach might move on this summer allayed. http://www.officialsanaheimducks.com/Adi...ano-Jersey “I am very happy to have signed a new contract with Chelsea,” said Conte. “We worked extremely hard in our first year to achieve something amazing, which I am very proud of. Now we must work even harder to stay at the top.”
The Italian steered his side to a club record 13 consecutive league victories as autumn turned to winter, secured a Premier League record 30 victories over the entire campaign and also reached the FA Cup final, all at a club who had just endured the worst season ever experienced under Roman Abramovich’s ownership.
“Antonio achieve incredible success last season, adapting to English football very quickly and leading us to the Premier League title,” added Granovskaia. “This new contract reflects our belief that he can continue to deliver results both domestically and as we return to European competition in the Champions League.”

Jodie Taylor simultaneously ruined Scotland’s European Championship debut and sent English optimism levels soaring courtesy of a master class in intelligent movement and perfectly weighted finishing.

Such attributes brought the Arsenal striker a hat-trick as Mark Sampson’s England suggested their status as one of the favourites to win Euro 2017 is anything but overblown.
Additional goals from Ellen White, the outstanding Jordan Nobbs and Toni Duggan rather cruelly Andrei Vasilevskiy Womens Jersey highlighted the disparity between the sides on an evening when England’s strength in midfield left Scotland chasing shadows and Taylor became the first woman to score a hat-trick for the Lionesses in a major finals.
She attended the post-match media conference along with Sampson and the match ball. “It meant a lot,” said Taylor, who has overcome a series of injuries, including a particularly serious knee problem in recent years.
“Jodie’s world class, simple as that,” Sampson said, “but the whole team were outstanding, very efficient from back to front. http://www.officialtampabaylightning.com...orn-Jersey It’s exciting for me to watch this team play, to see how good we can become over, hopefully, the next five matches.
“We’ve found a way to enjoy these pressured occasions. We’ve got to keep working hard and we’ve a difficult game against Spain on Sunday but we’re completely confident we can become the best team in the world.”
It must have made chastening viewing for Anna Signeul, Scotland’s manager, down in the technical area and Nicola Sturgeon up in the posh seats.
At first Scotland’s first minister would have been cheered when, after only 20 seconds, Jane Ross tried her luck with a 30-yard shot that the England goalkeeper Karen Bardsley looked mighty relived to put over the bar for a corner.
If that offered Sturgeon any cause for optimism, it was soon dampened. Almost immediately England’s right-sided combination, Lucy Bronze and Nobbs, began causing Scotland multiple problems.
Appropriately, Bronze’s through pass created England’s opener for Taylor. With Scotland holding a dangerously high line, the right-back initially looked to have played in Fran Kirby but, Authentic Aaron Burbridge Womens Jersey instead, the Chelsea forward – famously dubbed England’s “mini Messi” by Sampson two years ago – took out two markers courtesy of a fabulous dummy. It left Taylor clean through and the pacy striker proceeded to shoot England ahead.
The Lionesses believe that, since finishing third in the 2015 World Cup in Canada, their fitness levels have risen by 23% courtesy of much intense physical conditioning from Ben Young, who has worked with the England rugby union team. They certainly looked in daunting shape as Scotland could, at times, have been forgiven for wondering if qualifying for their first major tournament had really been such a good idea after all.
They fell further behind when another slice of Kirby skill saw her hacked down by Rachel Corsie. Nobbs took the free-kick which Signeul’s defence failed to clear. http://www.sanfrancisco49ersauthorizedst...rsey-elite As the ball ricocheted around the box, Bronze sent a header goalwards that was hacked off the line before Taylor gave another reminder of her predatory instincts by lashing home from six yards.
Ifeoma Dieke and Vaila Barsley, Scotland’s normally robust centre-half partnership had been deconstructed well before White claimed the third. It involved Jill Scott shooting from distance, goalkeeper Gemma Fay doing very well to tip the ball on to the bar and the on-rushing White immediately pouncing on the rebound and crisply redirecting it beyond her.
Tartan-clad fans attempted to lift their team’s morale with a few choruses of Flower of Scotland http://www.sanfrancisco49ersauthorizedst...rsey-elite while also unfurling a banner in their VIP guest’s honour emblazoned with “Happy Birthday Nicola”. Sturgeon turned 47 on Wednesday and as the interval whistle final blew Dieke and company probably felt double that age.
Admittedly the ever industrious Ross menaced sporadically but the lone striker was far too isolated and must have felt increasingly envious of the sort of service Taylor and White enjoyed.

Manchester City are set to sign their second right-back in a week with Real Madrid’s Danilo on the verge of following in Kyle Walker’s footsteps and joining Pep Guardiola’s side. Alec Ogletree Authentic Jersey City have reached an agreement with Madrid to sign the 26-year-old for €30m (£26.5m) with a potential €5m in add-ons.

The signing would mean City have spent £76.5m on the two right-backs, with Walker costing an initial £50m. Guardiola was always likely to target the full-back positions after releasing Gaël Clichy, Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna at the end of last season.
However the manager views Danilo as also being able to operate at left-back and as a holding midfielder. http://www.losangelesramsauthorizedstore...rsey-elite So if Guardiola’s pursuit of Danilo and the Monaco left-back Benjamin Mendy is successful he would not sign another left-back or a defensive midfielder.
Guardiola and City had reached an agreement in principle to sign Dani Alves after he left Juventus but the former Barcelona player opted to join Paris St-Germain. The French club had offered the Brazilian almost twice as much in wages.
Danilo joined Real Madrid from Porto in 2015 and has 15 caps for Brazil, having made his international debut in 2011. Chelsea are also interested in him but City appear to have won the race. “[While] the deal is not done, out of respect for other clubs I cannot say anything,” Guardiola said.
City’s manager refused to rule out a move for Arsenal’s Alexis Sánchez despite Arsène Wenger’s insistence the forward will not be sold. Asked about buying the 28-year-old, the manager said: “Alexis is a player from Arsenal. Arsène said that – it’s because he knows more than me. A'Shawn Robinson Authentic Jersey And for the [potential new] players I’ve said the players are of other teams so I cannot say too much. I don’t like when the other team’s managers talk about our players so for us it’s the same.”
Guardiola, who is with the City squad in Houston on a pre-season tour which includes Thursday’s derby with Manchester United, ruled out Sergio Agüero departing amid reported interest from Chelsea. “You know my opinion on Sergio – I said [it] many times last season and he’s our player,” he said. “He will remain here.”
Guardiola also claimed Claudio Bravo will be a City player next season despite the goalkeeper’s troubled first campaign and the club targeting Napoli’s Pepe Reina. However, http://www.officialauthenticlions.com/WO...ERSEY.html it is understood City are open to Bravo leaving if they receive an offer and the player asks to go.
City remain interested in Ryan Bertrand; Southampton’s position is they do not wish sell the left-back, though this may change. Guardiola has so far added Monaco’s attacking midfielder Bernardo Silva (£43.6m) and the Benfica goalkeeper Ederson (£34.9m) to his squad.

Of the players who scored 10 goals or more in La Liga last season, none did so with a better conversion rate than Álvaro Morata. His 55 shots yielded 15 goals, which is one of the reasons he began the summer ranked alongside Kylian Mbappé, Romelu Lukaku and Andrea Belotti as one of the four most eligible young strikers in Europe. Chelsea, Allen Barbre Womens Jersey having failed to land Lukaku (or refused to pay over the odds for him, depending whose account you prefer), pretty much had to sign one of the other three to replace Diego Costa, who will almost certainly join Atlético Madrid at some point in the next six weeks.

Morata is clearly hugely gifted. He is decent in the air, mobile and looks the part. He impressed at Juventus as well as Real Madrid, which should offer encouragement about his capacity to thrive in different environments against varying styles of defending. He has played in three of the past four Champions League finals, scoring in one of them. At 24, he is used to the rhythms and pressures of playing for an elite club.
And yet there must be concerns. Perhaps in the modern world £58m is a reasonable price – Lukaku, who cost around 25% more, has never scored in the Champions League – but this is a player who has never started more than 16 league games in a season. His role, certainly at Madrid, http://www.eaglesofficialsshop.com/Brand...rsey_Cheap was largely to come off the bench to pick off tired opponents. Nine of his 17 goals in La Liga and the Champions League last season came after the hour. That is not to say he cannot score important goals – after all, in 2014‑15, he registered twice against Borussia Dortmund, twice against Madrid and against Barcelona in the knockout stages of the Champions League – but it is to say that he rarely had the opportunity to do that for Madrid, and certainly never had the pressure of being expected to do that.
A quick scan of the stats from last season suggests he had fewer shots per game, won fewer aerials, made fewer key passes and dribbled less often than Costa but the disparity in style of play, opposition and role in the side makes such comparison all but meaningless.
More fundamental is the fact that Morata is just not Costa. He does not exist in the same fug of fury, raging perpetually against sleights real and, Dalton Pompey Youth Jersey more often than not, imagined or exaggerated. He does not wage a one-man war on the opposition and the referee. He will not antagonise his marker just by looking at him. He will not lurch about, in a metaphorical cloak and top hat, like an Edwardian villain seeking an innocent maiden to bind to the railway tracks. He will not playwith the same snarl and/or simper, needling and wheedling, prising the slightest chink of opportunity into a bona fide chance.
Morata does not have the same capacity to magic a goal from nowhere, by inspiration or aggravation, that Costa does. The Brazilian’s late goal at Stamford Bridge against West Bromwich Albion last December was typical as he chased what seemed a lost cause to force an error from a defence that had been all but impeccable before finishing classily. He also got the only goal in away games against Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace, the late winners against West Ham United and Watford, and a late equaliser at Swansea City, as well as opening the scoring against Leicester City, Hull City and at home against Middlesbrough.
It is not only that Costa scored 20 goals last season, it is that nine of them were goals that had a decisive impact on the game – and that was in a season in which his form dipped significantly after Christmas as he began to eye the exit. Certain players have a quality of winningness, http://www.officialbluejaysproshop.com/Bj_Upton_Jersey a capacity to take the tide at the flood that leads on to fortune, and that in turn imbues a whole side with confidence and decisiveness. That is hard to quantify but nobody, surely, would deny that Costa, when motivated, made Chelsea a tougher, more ruthless team.
